    If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for providing technical and analytical assistance to support the needs of US Attorney's Office.

    Typical work assignments will include:

    • Working with staff to develop and maximize the use of applications available.
    • Maintaining systems associated with badge access and HSPD-12 systems and issuing build access cards and HSPD-12 identification cards.
    • Scheduling the installation of new or modified hardware, operating systems and applications software.
    • Performing network diagnostics and resolving network problems.
    • Managing accounts, network rights and access to systems and equipment.
    • Troubleshooting and resolving problems with delivery of internet and intranet services.
    • Analyzing network traffic patterns and installing network software fixes, upgrades and enhancements.
    Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.

    Qualifications

    For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:

    1. Attention to Detail - Conducting analyses and recommending resolutions to complex IT issues.
    2. Customer Service: Providing customer support services including installation, configuration, troubleshooting and training.
    3. Oral Communication - Providing customer training on routine and new applications and specialized applications in the office.
    4. Problem Solving - Diagnosing and resolving problems in response to customer reported incidents. AND

    Qualifying Experience:

    To qualify at the GS-11, your resume must demonstrate at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 level in Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience defined as experience: Installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining customers hardware and software, performing network diagnostics and resolves network problems, resolving hardware/software interface and interoperability and enhancements and monitoring functionality, security and integrity of Internet and Intranet services.OR

    Education: One of the following types of education in a related field (e.g., Information Science, Engineering, Computer Science): a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or 3 full years of progressively higher graduate education leading to such a degree. This education must have been in one of the following fields or must have provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the following fields and must have required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks: Computer Science, Engineering, Information Science, Information Systems Management, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, or Technology Management. OR

    Combination of Experience and Education: Combination of specialized experience and education when combined equal 100% of the requirements (only graduate education in excess of 2 full years is creditable).
