Top Division Legal Executive plans and directs all aspects of a division's legal affairs. Ensures all division policies and activities are managed correctly and in compliance with current laws. Being a Top Division Legal Executive provides strategic guidance on legal issues, manages compliance and risk mitigation, reviews contracts, and handles other legal duties to protect the organization's interests. Uses a broad range of legal expertise and current knowledge to advise leadership on any regulatory changes or actions that may impact the business. Additionally, Top Division Legal Executive requires a JD. Requires State Bar membership. Typically reports to top legal executive. The Top Division Legal Executive manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business. Job Summary:
Busy Bridgeport law firm seeks a full-time receptionist/legal assistant to provide general administrative and legal support.
Responsibilities include answering phones, screening and directing calls, taking and relaying messages, providing information to callers, greeting clients, preparing and drafting correspondence, requesting and ordering documents, receiving and scanning mail deliveries, scheduling appointments, maintaining the office calendar, and coordinating meetings.
The individual must be highly organized and detail oriented, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff, attorneys and clients. Individual must be able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook are a must. Experience with Needles / NEOS is a plus.
Spanish speaking is highly sought.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
