Pay Range
The pay range for this position is between $18.00 - $22.00 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This is a temp to hire position.
Position Overview
Assist in the timely execution of various day-to-day activities in relation to life science and diagnostic manufacturing operations while strictly adhering to cGMP, environmental health and safety guidelines and any other related regulations which could apply.
This role is 100% On-Site, Monday - Friday 8 hours/day (excluding lunch break). Overtime, weekends and holidays may be required. Flexible start time available between 6:00am and 8:30am with a consistent schedule. Exceptions to the schedule must be approved by the manager in advance.
Duties and Responsibilities
Position requires adherence to cleanroom gowning and entry procedures
Follow applicable Standard Operating Procedures, Quality System Regulations, ISO 13485 and cGMP requirements.
Perform tasks involved in one or more of the following: filling, labeling, kitting/packaging of a large variety of client products. Including but not limited to reagents, buffers, and diagnostic kits.
Operate production equipment such as pipettes, peristaltic pumps, balances, torque cappers, pouch sealers and others as required.
Perform calculations and unit conversions with accurate significant figures.
Complete visual inspection of filled tubes, vials and/or bottles, labels and flexible packaging
Executes production batch records using Good Documentation Practices
Reviews production batch records for accuracy and completeness
Participate in Quality Working Teams and Continuous Improvement Teams
Assist in training of team members
Assist in updating and new revision of standard operating procedures (SOP)
Assist with review of logbooks, safety and cGMP inspections or observations.
Contribute to Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and risk analysis memos
Responsible for room and workstation cleanliness and sanitation, including but not limited to labware washing
Ensures work area is stocked with lab supplies and gowning materials.
Manage hazardous wastes in compliance with company procedures and State/Federal/Local hazardous waste regulations.
Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance
Other related duties as assigned /required
Education and Experience Requirements
Requires high school diploma or general education GED
3 - 5 years' work experience in manufacturing and in cGMP environment
Certificate or associate degree in biochemistry, biology and/or other life sciences a plus
Must have the ability to gown to clean room standards, wear personal protective equipment, as incumbent will work in a controlled environment must adhere to safety requirements.
Must have the ability to correctly complete high school-level mathematics
Basic computer skills for email and data entry
Effective interpersonal skills, ability to interface well with teammates
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Process improvement mindset
Physical ability to perform production activities and responsibilities including sitting, standing, bending, lifting/carrying up to 25lbs, walking, pushing/pulling, with or without reasonable accommodation
Able to work overtime
Perform other duties as requested
