Top Domestic Ethics & Compliance Executive develops, directs, and promotes the organization's global ethics and compliance function. Designs and develops programs to assess and manage legal and regulatory compliance risks and to establish high ethical standards of conduct for the organization. Being an Top Domestic Ethics & Compliance Executive ensures that policies reflect domestic and international legal requirements and industry-specific codes governing ethical standards and comply with transparency reporting requirements. Communicates the organization's ethical standards with messaging and deliver employee training programs that raise awareness about ethics-related topics such as Anti-Bribery, Anti-Corruption, Antitrust, Conflicts of Interest, and others. Additionally, Top Domestic Ethics & Compliance Executive monitors compliance with policies and investigates and remediates any non-compliant actions. Responsible for maintaining confidential reporting systems allowing employees, customers, contractors, and other stakeholders to disclose violations of the organization's ethical standards, violations of law, or policies without fear of retaliation. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. May require the Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP)certification. Typically reports to top management. The Top Domestic Ethics & Compliance Executive manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Top Domestic Ethics & Compliance Executive typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     Travel Requirements: 10%

    Job Summary:

    The Adult Counselor provides a safe, nonjudgmental space for clients to express their emotions and receives a confidential level of help and support for current emotional and other issues.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Provides client-defined and culturally sensitive counseling services in person, via secure video-conference and over the phone for individuals as well as facilitation of support groups.
    • Engages in best practice methodologies for trauma survivors include psychoeducation, CBT, DBT, in addition to traditional talk and/or play therapy.
    • Conduct highly skilled intake assessments/psychosocial evaluations/clinical assessments for new clients, make necessary referrals and develop service plans.
    • Domestic violence counseling also includes completing risk and needs assessments, safety planning, crisis intervention, advocacy with other service providers and responding to 24-Hour Hotline.
    • Complete accurate clinical case notes and service plans. Maintain clinical records in accordance with the organizations policies and procedure. Clinicians must adhere to all CT laws and ethical codes for their profession.
    • Complete victim compensation applications, including completing extension of treatment/alternative therapy options for victims when applicable.
    • Complete Verification of Disability and/or letters of service documents for clients.
    • Provide therapeutic techniques for managing trauma symptoms.
    • Supervision of Masters level interns.
    • Guided by established procedures, policies and processes related to a counseling environment.
    • Completes and maintains documentation according to federal and state guidelines.
    • Support and advocate for individuals of domestic violence for positive outcomes while always supporting the mission and vision of the organization.

    Qualifications:

    • Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field of study.
    • LPC, LMSW License or similar State of CT designation. Completes annual continuing education courses.
    • National Board-Certified Counselor (NBCC) preferred.
    • SIFI Certified or eligible.
    • Two plus years of experience counseling individuals; Background in domestic violence preferred.
    • Familiarity working in a non-profit organization; work with domestic violence population a plus.
    • Fluency in Spanish required.
    • Considerable knowledge of the requirements of state and federal law and professional requirements pertaining to the delivery of counseling or social work services.
    • Guided by procedures, policies and practices of counseling with moderate impact on both the internal and external functions of DVCC. Follows the established mission and goals.

    Pay: $60,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
