Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and visionary Executive Director to lead our chamber of commerce. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting local businesses, a strong understanding of economic development, and excellent leadership and communication skills. The Executive Director of the Moab Area Chamber of Commerce is responsible for the efficient day-to-day management of all Chamber functions and the implementation of policies and duties established by the board including but not limited to: Administrative responsibilities, membership management, event coordination, marketing management and financial oversight. This role requires strategic leadership, effective communication, and strong organizational skills to drive membership growth, facilitate networking opportunities, and promote the Chamber's objectives within the community. The Executive Director plays a pivotal role in advancing the mission and goals of the Moab Area Chamber of Commerce through effective leadership, collaboration, and strategic planning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to support the growth and success of our chamber of commerce and its members.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, government officials, and community stakeholders.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the chamber, including marketing and communications, financial management, event planning, and member services.
- Advocate for our members' interests at the local, state, and federal levels.
- Collaborate with other organizations and chambers to promote economic development and business growth in our region.
- Serve on local boards and committees as a representative of the Chamber.
- Lead meetings for Board of Directors, stake holders and community
- Lead and motivate our team of staff and volunteers to achieve our organizational goals.
- Ensure legal compliance and integrity in all Chamber operations.
