Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

We are seeking a seasoned Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team, serving as a pivotal advisor and strategic partner. This position reports directly to the CEO and is essential in steering our strategic objectives and shaping the financial landscape of our organization.
Job Overview
As the CFO, you will be a central member of the executive leadership team, accountable for overseeing financial functions that support the growth and sustainability of our firm. Your role will encompass the management of all financial activities, which include tax planning, budgeting, risk management, and operational strategies. You will also provide the leadership team with insightful financial analysis, oversee key performance indicators, and ensure the implementation of robust financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and lead a high-performing financial team, recruiting and developing top financial talent for reporting, tax, accounting, and FP&A functions.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to establish goals and objectives that align with our Strategic Business Plan.
- Develop effective financial and tax strategies for both our parent and subsidiary entities.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with banking and financial institutions, supporting organizational growth while ensuring compliance with financial regulations and covenants.
- Oversee insurance and risk management in collaboration with external brokers.
- Provide pricing guidance to accounting and sales teams to optimize customer outcomes.
- Direct the preparation of financial statements, forecasts, and business plans for business units and consolidated operations.
- Manage the annual budgeting process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.
- Engage in mergers and acquisitions activities, including due diligence and analysis of potential acquisitions.
Required Skills
- Master's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- CPA designation is highly desirable.
- A minimum of 10 years of combined experience in public and corporate accounting.
- Prior experience as a CFO is preferred.
- Proven track record in process improvement and profit maximization.
- Exceptional leadership capabilities with a focus on team development and effective communication.
- Proficient in standard cost accounting and general ledger management.
- Familiarity with ERP systems; experience with IQMS is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with a results-driven approach.
- M&A experience, including purchase strategies and financing, is a plus.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in public and corporate accounting.
- Previous experience as a CFO is preferred.

Position Details
Primary Location: Sarasota, FL.
Travel Requirements: Up to 30% travel within the United States, primarily in the Midwest and Southwest.
