    CapTech is seeking a Business Development Executive with Public Sector (State and Local Government) experience. The Business Development Executive will be responsible for identifying strategic opportunities, developing new clients and identifying new opportunities within current accounts. Successful candidates should be entrepreneurial, have significant public-sector experience, a history of strong relationship management and a proven track record in selling IT consulting services to State and Local Governments. Must demonstrate strong prospecting and client facilitation of the full consulting sales cycle. CapTech operates without quotas as we believe in building long term relationships. We also have a non-capped commission structure. 

    Specific responsibilities for the Business Development Executive – Public Sector (State and Local Government) position include:

    • Identify strategic sales opportunities in State and Local Government with a high probability of both closing and being successfully delivered.
    • Develop and execute pursuit strategies that produce and maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities at target accounts
    • Drive solution-oriented opportunities through the sales pipeline, successfully advancing high value opportunities while actively closing others
    • Successfully convert opportunities to wins at target accounts identified in partnership with portfolio leadership
    • Deliver on annual new account revenue objectives and support account teams in cultivating revenue at existing accounts
    • Partner with portfolio leadership to effectively transition won engagements to account delivery teams while ensuring superior project delivery and a positive client experience
    • Partner with portfolio leadership to define and execute strategies that grow our industry footprint
    • Collaborate with portfolio leadership to identify target accounts and annual new account revenue objectives
    • Leverage industry relationships to identify targets based on CapTech's capabilities.
    • Manage client relationships as an advisor to the client strategy, outcomes, and immediate/long term demands.
    • Support account management and delivery teams in fostering relationships with client decision makers and influencers
    • Engage a broad set of buyers at target accounts to understand their needs and build CapTech’s brand recognition
    • Partner with Account Leads at existing Public Sector accounts to leverage insights from these clients to drive new account growth, and vice versa
    • Establish and maintain strong C-level partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders at target accounts
    • Continuously build knowledge of Public Sector industry trends, opportunities, and challenges
    • The Role is focused on managing and growing relationships with The States of Colorado, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Ohio and North Carolina

     

    Qualifications

    Specific qualifications for the Business Development Executive – Public Sector, (State and Local Government) position include:

    • BS in Business, Technology or Professional discipline or equivalent work experience
    • Continuous education in business strategies, design concepts and methodologies and/or technologies
    • 10 years of proven sales and account management experience in management consulting industry in Public Sector (State and Local Government Sector)
    • Excellent collaboration and team building skills
    • Experience building relationships with C-suite stakeholders and business decision makers
    • Ability to assess client needs, identify omissions and gaps, and define optimal solution
    • Creative thinking and the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex technical/business problems
    • Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients, build consensus, and achieve goals through influence
    • Experience leading both Client and CapTech teams through complex technology solution sales
    • Excellent communication, listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
    • Results-oriented in spite of obstacles; ability to balance important versus urgent work to achieve long-term results
    • Someone who is energized by the opportunity to develop and execute a strategy to win new accounts
    • Ability to balance multiple initiatives and deliver high quality interactions with prospective customers and CapTech’s internal team.
    • Management experience, particularly in an IT services environment with a high willingness to learn new services and how CapTech’s services are delivered applied to different government domains
    • Hands on experience in a number of sales business disciplines such as consulting services, business operations, project management, information technology, software development, with a proven ability and record of success
    • Ability to create dynamic presentations
    • Willingness to travel as needed
