Job Summary: The pre-certification coordinator is responsible for the verification of insurance coverage and benefits and obtaining pre-certification of surgeries and procedures, determines out of pocket expenses for surgeries and office visits, coordinates with patients the collections of out of pocket expenses.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: At least two (2) years billing and/or coding experience in medical office. Must be able to manage high volumes of work within strict deadlines and perform duties without prompting and with very little supervision. Electronic medical record preferred.
Licenses/Certifications: CPC preferred. BLS preferred.
