Top Inventory Control Executive oversees, plans, and directs all aspects of inventory management policies, objectives, and initiatives. Develops standards, metrics, and procedures that maximize inventory management efficiency. Develops and implements inventory tools and systems for tracking, analysis, auditing, and reporting. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Top Inventory Control Executive manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.     Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    • Manages and maintains entire inventory system; facilitates upgrades to processes to achieve goals
    • Executes daily inventory analysis; identifies and resolves discrepancies and problems
    • Oversee stock item master, identifying incorrect descriptions and stock numbers
    • Ensure cycle counts are completed in a timely manner and turned in (per proper procedure)
    • Maintains and directs housekeeping, organization, and layout of inventory
    • Every item has a home that is clearly marked
    • Locates items that may have incorrect locations or stock numbers to assist order processing
    • Communicates with Supply Chain as needed regarding new items, changes of locations, counts, etc.
    • Ensure proper Receiving Procedures (Accurately receive and record data)
    • For Stock, Customers, and Production
    • Ensure proper Returns procedures and damage inspection (recommend disposition and execute upon confirmation)
    • Conduct and facilitate frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory
    • Facilitation of departmental communication and meetings
    • Between Plant floor, Supply Chain, and Finance
    • Analyzes inventory reports to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
    • Maintain a safe working record and environment (immediate communication of unsafe conditions, acts, or injuries to the Production Manager)
    • Other duties as required

    Working Conditions

    While performing the duties of this position, the employee is routinely exposed to a manufacturing environment.  Occasionally, employee will be required to work across all departments within the manufacturing facility.  Personal protective equipment is available for your convenience and may be required in some areas of the facility.

    Physical Requirements

    While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to listen and respond to multiple team members.  This position requires sitting in front of a computer screen, working in a manufacturing facility, and driving a fork lift. This job requires some lifting and a qualified candidate should be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
