Top Litigation Executive oversees all litigation related to an organization and ensures maximum protection of the organization's legal rights. Acts as a liaison between outside attorneys and in-house staff. Being a Top Litigation Executive directs cases through litigation cycle, reviews new files for coverage and liability issues, and develops a cost effective defense strategy. Consults with senior management to resolve issues and decide settlements. Additionally, Top Litigation Executive requires a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Requires admittance to a state bar. Typically reports to top management. The Top Litigation Executive manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Working Against Violence for Everyone (WAVE) is seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Director to lead our organization. WAVE exists to support and provide advocacy for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, and promote relationships without abuse in the greater Petersburg area.
The Executive Director works closely with the Board of Directors, staff and community partners to oversee all aspects of organization management: program development and implementation, fundraising, fiscal, personnel and volunteer management, and community outreach. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for working to end domestic violence and sexual assault, and will be creative in leveraging resources to achieve that goal.
