    Job Description

    • Establish and extend SGS USA Measurement & Allocation Services within the USA cooperating with colleagues responsible for SGS Service Lines to increase business growth operationally for group business and benefit local infrastructure:
      • Metering consultancy, Measurement projects, Measurement operations, Measurement operations and field calibration services, measurement systems for all terminal loading systems across all different types of hydrocarbons, namely oil, gas, condensate, LNG etc.
    • Assist management with the implementation of a strategic plan for North America identifying
      market attractiveness, services to be offered, target locations and clients, investments required, organization and resources necessary for success
    • Identify and manage measurement business opportunities & related measurement related projects
      within the USA region.
    • Engage with local I&E Leadership throughout all stages of measurement projects strategic planning and implementation to secure necessary support. Local but-in, funding and resources required to deliver growth objectives in-line with management objectives.
    • Identify new engineering talent to the organization and in conjunction with technical service leads and regional leadership assemble and develop teams capable of providing high quality operations
    • Insure that SGS is also pre-qualified with target clients w to be aware of and included in measurement tenders for business in the USA etc
    • Prepare and agree measurement proposals with line management support for new & existing measurement related projects
    • Prepare regular target forecasts on business opportunities and provide weekly/monthly progress updates
    • Manage local operational measurement consultancy and related projects as required. 
    • Commercial responsibility for Measurement & Calibration services contracts and service delivery, including partial P & L responsibility, ensuring agreed budgets for revenue and L/C are fully realized and surpassed to satisfy group objectives regards cost codes. 

    Qualifications

    • Degree or equivalent in Engineering or related science based subject.
    • Experience of working in a multi disciplined, operational engineering environment where core competencies and skills are routinely required and utilized.
    • Must be able to interface with internal and external clients and provide detailed technical reports and feedback.
    • Must be able to demonstrate effective communication and supervisory experience in an operational environment. 
    • Must have experience of preparing detailed procedures and documentation.
    • Extensive experience in Oil & Gas operations encompassing measurement and instrumentation.
    • Experience of planning, co-ordinating and project management.
    • Post Graduate Diploma or equivalent in Engineering or related science based subject.
    • Formal qualification in Auditing.
    • Knowledge of auditing procedures and techniques
