Additionally, Top Mortgage Credit Manager recommends improvements to the review process and general underwriting procedures to maximize efficiency. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Top Mortgage Credit Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Top Mortgage Credit Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. HawaiiUSA is currently seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer responsible for the growth of the mortgage loan portfolios and to increase income opportunities through proactive and effective business development through sale of various real estate loan products. This individual would develop effective plans to generate mortgage business through internal and external sources.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Three years in sales or client service environment, preferably a financial institution
- Ability to work both independently and cohesively with others, fosters team environment
- Ability to handle all confidential matters professionally; always maintaining the privacy of our member’s account information
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Exceptional customer service skills a must in person or via phone
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with mortgage processing and regulation standards with exposure to consumer and other real estate secured loans, including lines of credit.
- Four years of progressive lending experience.
- Extensive familiarity with mortgage processing and underwriting to secondary market standards with exposure to consumer and other real estate secured loans, including lines of credit.
- Previous business development experience that demonstrate abilities to effectively acquire, maintain and grow business relationships and loan portfolios.
- Mortgage Loan Officer may be based in Kahului or Lihue.
