What You’ll Do:  

As a Product Design / Application Engineer, you will provide support to our regional sales managers, representatives, project management and customers by providing in-depth response to inquiries; assisting with quotation and proposal development; and providing technical knowledge, expertise and documentation. In this role, you will also:

• Develop product design concepts from customer requirements using Solidworks. 
• Use the approved product design drawings, create items and bills of materials in ERP system.
• Support sales and sales representatives with review of specifications, equipment selection, pricing, quotations and proposal preparation.
• Be a liaison between customer needs and engineering / operations.

Requirements

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree Preferred, but Technical / Associate Degree or Relevant experience in lieu of degree will be considered; Field of Study: Mechanical Engineering or Engineering

Experience:  2 Years of experience with 2D & 3D CAD software in the manufacturing industry 

Experience with designing Sheetmetal welded structures and piping is a plus. 

Experience in designing mechanical piping & pump systems is a plus

Paper industry knowledge is a plus.

Computer Skills:  Solidworks and Draftsight experience; also Excel, Word, Powerpoint, & Outlook 

Able to navigate effectively ERP systems such as SAP, Sage, Navision
