    This team member is responsible for business-to-business sales of contract maintenance programs for material handling equipment and catalog parts. With time utilization as followed: 80% obtaining new customers under our fold, 10% motivate existing customers to allocate more business, 10% keeping existing customers valued. 


     

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

    • Pursue new business and develop key existing accounts in assigned territory.
    • Analyze opportunities, identify key personnel, and build strong business relationships via cold calls/in-person visits, presentations, and following ups on leads for new business.
    • Create sales strategies, proposals, and forecasts. Conduct product demonstrations and sales presentations. Prepare quotations, cost reports, performance reports and customer correspondence.
    • Develop a territory management plan to maximize time with customers in order to seek new business and enhance customer retention by monitoring customer satisfaction with service and parts support by responding to customer concerns or requests in a timely matter.
    • Acquire customer information to build comprehensive data base to include machine lists, customer contacts, influencers, and Parts and Service purchasers - all information to reside in CRM
    • Liaise with manufacturers, in-house departments, and all other relevant suppliers to determine status of orders and compliance to delivery times
    • Create, follow, utilize a prioritized daily to do list along with weekly itineraries using both selectory.com/salesforce.com with a monthly itinerary setup by quadrants and fine-tuning for appointment setting.

     

    Some Goal setting expectations include:

    • Execute planned sales calls with an average of fifteen cold calls (face to face) and five (telephone) cold calls per day
    • Develop and memorize an “Elevator Speech”
    • E-mail a weekly itinerary to the branch manager/sales director every Friday
    • Identify potential service accounts and sign up at least ten OMs per month with a focus on acquiring “additional service recommended” off the service reports
    • Develop and maintain five referral letters
    • Establish new accounts by acquiring at least eight signed credit applications each month
    • Sell an agreed monthly amount of cataloged material handling to new customers.

    SKILLS:

    • Bachelor degree, preferably in business management, marketing, entrepreneurship, professional selling, or related business program, or several years of successful sales experience.
    • Valid driver's license, good driving record, and the ability to safely operate lift trucks
    • Excellent customer service skills including patience and persistence for daily prospecting and maintaining current strong customer relationships
    • A dedicated, self-motivated, energetic mindset focused on solid work ethic
    • Meticulous attention to detail- both methodically and thoroughly
    • Well-rounded coaching ability
    • Outstanding verbal and written communication.
    • Project a positive and professional image/attitude while interacting with fellow employees, customers, and management in a cooperative, supportive, and courteous manner



    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    • This position is based out of Wheeler’s Charlotte branch location and will provide coverage to the surrounding areas.
