SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible for the directional and strategic guidance, development, coaching, staffing, leadership, administration and cost center management of the ongoing work of the Penn State Health’s Community Relations Department. This role will collaborate regularly with the Director of Community Heath and work closely with the Community Health team in the annual delivery of total community benefit for the health system. Establish, scale and lead community relations activities, including program development, program support, community outreach, strategic partnerships, employee volunteerism and charitable campaigns. Build connections with efforts already underway with internal staff and committees as part of the response to the community needs assessment, working with the Community Health team. Establish, build and enhance relationships with key community stakeholders and nonprofits across the Penn State Health & Penn State College of Medicine service area.
