Position Summary:

The China Lake Quality Manager is a direct report to the ALMS Operations Manager. The QM assists in maintaining the coordination and communication of all departments to meet contractual obligations. Maintains, audits, and ensures contractual requirements meet ISO 9001-2015 requirements. Specific responsibilities include defining, analyzing, and providing recommendations for increased efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures that procedures and work instructions are kept up to date and in accordance with regulations and contract requirements.
• Investigates and evaluates department functions as defined by work instructions and procedures to meet contract compliance.
• Coordinates communications and reporting systems between departments to ensure all assignments and functions are being met in accordance with work instructions, procedures, and contract requirements.
• Investigates procedures, records management methods and compiles reports, including conclusions and recommendations for solutions of department problems.
• Maintains QMS to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and contract compliance.
• Advises the Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager on productivity and work management.
• Assists in developing, maintaining and auditing departmental training plans.
• Promotes quality and excellence in customer servicethroughout the organization.
• Promotes a team environment.
• Provides quality training programs that initiate quality awareness throughout the organization.
• Other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.

Qualifications:

• One year of quality control inspection experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of related, equivalent experience required.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Software required.
• Must have the ability to work under pressure and interface in a positive and professional manner with co-workers, employees, and customers.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Must possess and maintain a valid California driver's license – current DMV printout required.

Requirements:

• Must be able to travel to job locations by commercial airline.
• Must be able to lift to 10 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Must be able to work in the sitting position for eight or more hours per day.
• Position requires the ability to perform under stressful conditions.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a government Secret security.
