Key Responsibilities:
· Ensure food safety, quality, and legality.
· Prevent food safety and foreign material incidents by working with operations.
· Audit operations to verify written programs are being followed.
· Verify finished products meet internal and customer specifications.
· Maintain required documentation regarding daily operations.
· Maintain liaison between company and USDA.
· Oversee in-plant facility audits and daily operations of in-house micro/chemistry laboratory.
Physical Requirements:
· Frequently required to stand, talk, walk, and hear in a production environment; occasionally required to feel, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls; must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust vision focus; work is performed in a production setting with moderate to intense noise levels; work is performed in a fluctuating temperature environment (typically 72 degrees to -10 degrees).
