Top Sales Executive provides leadership to the sales organization and develops the overall sales strategy, operational plans and processes that drive revenue growth and accomplish financial objectives. Establishes and implements processes, tools, and structures to support the sales organization's operations. Being a Top Sales Executive oversees goal-setting processes for all levels of the sales organization and uses data and technology to measure and monitor sales processes, identify issues, and enhance performance. Creates capabilities to effectively analyze the business environment, identify and understand competitors, and retain and expand the customer base. Additionally, Top Sales Executive collaborates with internal stakeholders to identify market needs and innovate new products. Builds effective sales and support teams with recruiting, mentoring, and development programs. May personally participate in or negotiate strategic or high-value sales. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Top Sales Executive manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business. Gallagher serves both OEM & MRO customers through the development of technical solutions that solve sealing challenges.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Grow sales at both assigned accounts and prospects. Use a project based Value Selling sales methodology to identify, prioritize and close new sales.
    • Pro-actively engage with new contacts (leads) and develop them into accounts with viable sales projects.
    • Assess, prioritize and develop leads into customers
    • Work with supplier’s sales people, develop mutually beneficial accounts, and enhance / nurture supplier relationships. Recommend potential suppliers.
    • Document a detailed workflow on all prospecting activities along with support from the Sales Director.
    • Utilize CRM (SalesForce) capabilities to aggressively manage projects, follow-up activities and pursue lead development.
    • Demonstrate an expert level of competency in key products for respective markets/customer base.
    • Review supplier costs, provide margin / profit recommendations, establish market selling price.
    • Provide the Engineering Department with application details, sufficient to assure efficient processing of engineering action requests.
    • Develop an “Expert” level of competency in key products for markets/customer base.
    • Monitor and report on competitor activity.
    • Attend and participate in targeted trade shows
    • Contribute to the quality and environmental effort by following policies and procedures and recommending improvements.

    QUALIFICATIONS/BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s degree highly desirable, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
    • 3-5 years experience in Seals sales
    • Excellent technical and communication skills.
    • Experience in fluid seals, process control, fluid control, or instrumentation highly preferred
    • Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to initiate, track and close long-term projects and negotiate immediate business.
    • Operate at a very high level of proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM
    • Proficient in MS Excel.
    • Must be capable of creating price/sales scenarios.
