Primary Role in the Organization:

Assist EHS department to establish and maintain a sustainable working environment for all NAPM associates, while ensuring compliance with all applicable OSHA and EPA regulations as well as all ISO certified standards requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, admister and reguarly update organization's sustainability policies, plan, initiatives,     programs and promote renewables
• Assist Plant Management on defining goals, performance metrics and long-range action plan for implementing sustainability programs and policies
• Facilitate collaboration of interdepartmental teams and working groups on sustainability  initiatives and programs. Including but not limited to, Water Conservation, Storm Water programs, and renewable energy sources
• Promotes and communicates Sustainability initiatives with associates at all levels
• Ensure all local, state, federal and customer required obligations are met and exceeded
• Define, input, compute and analyze sustainability metrics on a monthly basis
• Determine alternative chemicals to promote more enviro-friendly solutions as applicable
• Develop and coordinate sustainability target for suppliers, vendors and contractors
• Develop and maintain controlled sustainability program
• Complete Sustainability/Diversity surveys and worksheets while meeting specified target dates
• Develop sustainability programs and initiatives for all North American facilities
• Develop, perform and analyze resource utilization Kaizen activities
• Develop, implement, maintain and enforce company safety policies and procedures
• Support 6S program
• Support all international standard certifications obtained by the company, including meeting customer requirements, delivering intended process outputs, identifying and communciating opportunities for improvement and following all document control program requirements
• Any other duties as needed/required

Qualifications:

A.  Experience

1)  At least two years of related work experience

2)  At least one year experience conducting associate training classes

B.  Education

1)  Associate's Degree or Equivalent Job Experience

A.  Physical Demands

1)  Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis

2)  Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time

3)  Must be able to sit and perform data entry for extended periods of time

4)  Must be able to push/pull up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis

5)  Must be able to wear and work in respiratory protection

6)  Must be able to work around and with a variety of chemicals

7)  Must be able to work at elevated heights

1)  Computer Experience (i.e. Email, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, various databases)

2)  Basic Office Equipment (i.e. Copier, Telephone, Etc.)

10)  Ability to adapt quickly to changes in work requirements or assignments

11)  Good public speaking (i.e. training) skills  

12)  Good analytical and mechanical acumen

13)  Excellent attendance record
