Trust Operations Assistant - Quincy, IL

This position will perform daily maintenance of trust accounts and trust files in the trust department by performing the following duties.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Compiles, records and enters names and addresses, description of assets, and other information to open, maintain and close trust accounts on trust accounting software database
Creates and maintains physical and electronic files for each trust account
Documents funds received or disbursed, including daily posting of investment income, on trust accounting software database
Completes bank tickets and wire requests for deposits and withdrawals from trust suspense account and customer investment accounts; balances daily input and transactions
Calls or writes holders of assets, stock transfer companies, brokers, and mutual fund companies, and transmits specified documents to arrange for transfer of securities and other trust assets to or from trust account
Prepares and mails checks to pay bills and make disbursements for personal trust customers
Maintains record of fee payments and fee payment schedules for each trust account; drafts, prints and mails trust fee invoices
Composes and types business letters; opens and responds to mail
Answers telephone and assists with customer requests
Provides backup for other operations positions
Other duties as assigned

Computer Requirements

Education/Experience Requirements

Attendance Requirements: Employees are expected to report to work as scheduled, on time and prepared to start work. Employees are expected to remain at work for their entire work schedule. Late arrival, early departure or other absences from scheduled hours should be avoided. This position typically works full-time Monday through Friday.
