We are currently seeking a skilled manufacturing quality engineer that will collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to building high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.
In this role, you will be responsible for daily quality assurance activities on an automotive plant assembly line and implementation of manufacturing principles, methods and tools. Additionally, you will be involved in audit activities, launch support primarily using APQP, AIAG Core Tools, process controls, research and processing.

Pay rate: $40/hour 1099
• Assist in the development, review, approval, and support of manufacturing processes• Act as product development core-team member for quality & regulatory functions• Monitor supplier development and quality performance, including supplier audits• Participate in corrective action activities including evaluation of failure, investigation and root cause analysis, and countermeasure effectiveness assessments• Follow compliance and customer’s internal policies and procedures• Maintain communication with other departments and outside agencies• Ensure accurate and timely processing of quality records as needed• Support the implementation of auditing devices• Draft and manage the quality systems documentation, procedures, instructions, forms pertaining to the assigned scope• Extract product and process information from databases and compiles metrics reports as requested• Complete required training classes• Adhere to quality compliance requirements• All other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned
• Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering preferred) or 5 years relevant work experience in a QS/ISO environment• Well versed in Class A surface finishes involving injection molding
• Knowledge of software IQMS is a plus
• Experience dealing with customers Club Car, BMW, Mercedes Benz is a plus
• Possess multiple problem-solving techniques for root cause analysis and methodologies for statistical investigation• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions• Knowledge of Microsoft productivitiy tools• Working knowledge of quality engineering tools and containment practices• Available to work assigned hours based on customer and business needs
Preferred Qualifications:• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, ASQ Certified Auditor• Experience in a variety of manufacturing processes or mass assembly operations• ISO based quality management system Lead Internal auditor experience• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma
