RN - Oncology

We're looking for RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening. The right RN should have 2 years or more of recent experience.

As a Travel Nurse, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients.
• Initiate corrective action whenever information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology!
• Able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
• Able to easily lift 20 pounds. Moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times.

This is a high acuity, fast-paced unit that requires teamwork and strong communication skills. First Time Travelers Accepted. Travelers will be expected to float.

Pay Package

• Paid Weekly
• Weekly Gross $3,329.70
• Hourly Rate $ 41.25 /hr
• OT Rate $ 61.88 /hr
• Weekly Stipend $ 1514.66
• Blended rate $83.24 /hr
• 13 Week contract
• 40 hrs/week, 4x10 Days (10 hrs)

Job Description:

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Acute Care Hospital

Work Schedule: 4 days a week, 10-hour day shifts

Shift Timing: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Location: Eureka, California

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at an Acute Care Hospital in Eureka, California. As an RN in this facility, you will provide exceptional care to patients in a dynamic healthcare environment. We welcome 1st time travelers and require all travelers to have received the COVID-19 vaccine or have a valid medical exemption. A Chemo/Bio provider card or certification through the Oncology Nursing Society is required for this position. Job Responsibilities:

- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in an acute care setting

- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed

- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans

- Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to healthcare protocols and standards

- Maintain a safe and clean working environment

Required Skills and Experience:

- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience

- Active RN license

- BCLS certification

- Chemo Cert/Bio Card (required)

- Excellent clinical skills and knowledge

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
