Description:
Under the direction of the Manager of Quality and Utilization Management, the Quality and Compliance Analyst maintains compliance with all regulatory laws and standards through reporting, training of staff, and implementing various compliance and quality improvement initiatives.
How will I contribute
- Perform/lead quality reviews to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of documents deemed for regulatory submission in accordance with agreed-upon timelines.
- Lead project teams, task forces, and/or working groups to identify opportunities for strategic alignment of quality and compliance processes, process improvement initiatives, and strategies.
- Collect, organize and analyze compliance and quality improvement data.
- Develop and analyze trend reports to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance and performance improvement standards.
- Monitor and assist in audits to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Educate and train employees and program managers on HIPAA, regulatory oversight, and data integrity across all sites.
- Compile and analyze quality metrics on a routine basis, and periodically reports trends.
- Assess data collection and management processes and recommend improvements to meet regulatory compliance and quality improvement standards.
- Manage the completion of complex tasks by applying technical skills and specialized knowledge to coordinate initial findings, conduct root cause analyses and corrective action planning with internal and external customers as necessary.
- Serve as quality consultant on training, knowledge sharing, technology, or specific work processes, providing advice and guidance as appropriate.
- Participate in the development of work guides, training materials.
- Assist with the validation and integrity of data reports.
- Maintain and update policies and procedures in accordance with company requirements, regulatory laws and standards.
- Maintain databases relating to contracts, customer complaints, regulatory auditing and training, and quality improvement initiatives.
What I bring
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related field and at least 1 year of professional experience in the healthcare field or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the below duties (education may be substituted by experience on a year-for-year basis).
- Experience in clinical, safety, and/or regulatory areas in the behavioral healthcare industry. Experience in quality control and/or quality assurance within the behavioral industry. Experience in generating business metrics. Experience in KPIs dashboard and data visualization.
- Knowledge of HIPAA/Privacy Laws and Regulations
- Must have great analytical and organizational skills; good communication, writing, and reading skills, and a good working knowledge of administrative procedures as well as various computer applications and programs. Ability to make decisions independently and resolve issues appropriately. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a timely manner and work well under pressure.
- Innovative and strategic thinking self-starter
- Master’s degree in public health, public policy, public administration, social work, or marriage & family therapy preferred
