Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Occupations Instructor to join our team. As an Electrical Occupations Instructor, you will be responsible for instructing high school aged students in grades 10-12. This is a full-time position.
Duties:
- Develop and implement curriculum for instructional programs
- Conduct engaging and interactive classroom sessions
- Provide hands-on training and demonstrations
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to enhance the learning experience
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in the field
Skills:
- Strong knowledge and experience in the subject area
- Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to students of varying skill levels
- Proficient in curriculum development and instructional design
- Experience in electrical or related field/commercial or industrial electrical experience
- Knowledge of NEC
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety protocols
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and colleagues
- Experience in adult education is a plus
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years if verifiable work experience in the trade field, previous teaching experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to deliver instruction to high school aged students using the PDE approved Duty and Task Sheet for CIP Code: 46.0399
- PA Vocational Instructional Certificate or willingness to pursue coursework toward a PA Teacher Certification and professional development to enhance the program as well as self
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to pursue and maintain industry recognized credentials and/or certification
