Trade Show Manager jobs in New Britain, CT
Trade Show Manager manages the execution and logistics of trade shows and exhibitions to achieve business objectives. Develops and manages a comprehensive event project plan for all setup tasks, promotional items, literature, bookings, and other details. Being a Trade Show Manager approves the design, layout, cost estimates, and construction of exhibits and displays. Negotiates with vendors and service providers for best arrangements within budget. Additionally, Trade Show Manager may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Trade Show Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Trade Show Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes. YOUR ROLE
- Support Mergers, Acquisition and Divestiture Activities as required.
- Support Duty Drawback Program • Support Recordkeeping & Document Retention Activities.
- Draft and publish communications such as guidance documents, policies & procedures.
- Support CTPAT Supply Chain Security program as required.
- Plan and execute training events and develop related tools/resources. This may include training on U.S. export and/or import laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Monitor customs regulations, adjust procedures and advise appropriate parties of changes.
- Run compliance reports to determine areas of improvement.
- Develop relationships with Customs Brokers, internal and external legal counsel, internal stakeholders and external agencies.
- Support all other activities within the Global Trade Department as required.
