As a Metals Trader, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and selling various types of metals from a diverse supplier/customer base.     Key Responsibilities:

    • Identify, evaluate, and engage with potential suppliers to secure competitive and reliable sources of metal scrap, including ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
    • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, price fluctuations, and supply chain developments.
    • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to achieve favorable deals that align with company objectives.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers, ensuring accurate material identification and settlement review.
    • Collaborate with the logistics team to coordinate the timely and cost-effective transportation of metals.
    • Administer the entire sale process for brokered transactions
    • Manage buyers risk through hedging arranagments
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of transactions, supplier information, and market data.
    • Participate in industry events, conferences, and seminars to expand professional network and enhance market knowledge.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Materials Science, or a related field.
    • Proven experience as a Metals Trader, preferably in the metals recycling industry.
    • Strong understanding of metal types, recycling processes, and market dynamics.
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and any relevant purchasing software.
    • Ability to analyze market data and make informed business decisions.
    • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Commitment to ethical procurement practices and sustainability.
