Part-Time Reference Librarian

The Town of Plainville is currently seeking a part-time reference librarian in the Plainville Public Library. This position requires the following availability: Mondays 9am-4pm; Wednesdays 9am-4pm; Thursday evenings 3-8 pm; 1-2 rotating Saturdays per month, 9am-4pm; and availability for substitute shifts as needed.
Salary is $27 per hour. Sick leave is provided consistent with State of Connecticut Regulations, but there are no other benefits associated with this position. This is not a union-eligible post.

Qualifications include master’s degree in library and information studies (MLS/MLIS) from an ALA- accredited institution and a minimum two years of relevant library work experience.
