Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Trader to join our firm. This position works directly for our Chief Investment Officer, although will have significant direct contact with our Financial Advisors. Our ideal candidate is highly motivated, service driven and extremely organized.
This role is responsible for
- Construct and monitor client portfolios, tax-efficient rebalancing and tax-loss harvesting
- Activity specifically includes reviewing daily cash positions, out of tolerance client accounts, new cash flow activity (inbound or outbound), and engaging in a regular portfolio review process.
- Trading related activities for client portfolios
- Maintains Tamarac Rebalancing
- Act as a resource to Financial Advisors & Investment team; produce quarterly and ad hoc client portfolio reports
- To learn our model portfolios and understand how to rebalance portfolios to run consistent with models and our investment philosophy
- Serve as a resource to Advisors for anything trading related
- Work with other functional areas (Operations, Technology, etc) supporting client retention or growth
- Support the projects and research ideas of the CIO
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
A minimum of 3-5 years of Trading experience required
Prior experience with Tamarac Advisor Rebalancing, Tamarac Advisor View and Tamarac CRM
Experience with Schwab, Fidelity or Interactive Brokers trading platforms
A strong understanding of investment operations support, compliance support, client reporting and operations.
Continuously exhibits personal integrity and professional initiative
Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively against daily deadlines.
Notable attention to detail, self-initiated follow-through, and outstanding time management and organization skills
Strong math & analytical skills (including the ability to identify tax and investment-related issues in portfolios)
Demonstrates a commitment to accuracy by delivering high quality work
Collaborative and able to work effectively with others
Flexible team player who is highly adaptable to change and open to new ideas
Desire to grow and learn in an ever-changing environment.
A self-starter with strong organizational skills, capable of consistently meeting deadlines.
Must be comfortable working in a small entrepreneurial environment where all employees regularly assist others in helping carry out the firm’s mission.
Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship or restriction now and in the future.
Attention to detail is an essential qualification for success in the role.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, Outlook and Word
