May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Traffic Manager typically reports to a director. The Traffic Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes.     We are seeking a Business Development Account Manager to build and maintain strong relationships with key customer accounts and generate new business in our Pacific Northwest market. This role involves not only growing existing accounts, but also cultivating and attracting potential new customers in the utility, engineering, and railroad industries. Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the Account Manager will work closely with District Vice Presidents, Operations Directors, and Branch Managers to identify growth opportunities and coordinate resources.     The base pay for this position is $75,000 to $95,000 depending on experience. You will also receive a bonus and commission plan.

    What You'll Do:
    • Serve as the key point of contact for accounts in the assigned territory.
    • Demonstrate comprehensive technical and product knowledge for impactful presentations.
    • Possess a thorough understanding of pricing, proposal models, and service agreements.
    • Engage in business conversations with owners and decision-makers, fostering new business development.
    • Analyze account potential, initiate and close sales, and recommend innovative solutions.
    • Gather detailed business information for bids and present tailored solutions to prospects.
    • Lead the sales/operations relationship to ensure customer expectations are met.
    • Record all sales and prospecting activities accurately in Salesforce.
    • Develop, manage and improve a systematic process for effective account management.
    • Maintain a predetermined cadence for internal and external customer reviews assessing the health of the partnership.
    • Build and foster a referral network to generate new revenue opportunities.
    • Follow up on open proposals and action items from meetings with customers.
    • Provide regular forecasts to leadership on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
    • Build trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on the customer, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity.
    What We Need:
    • BS/BA degree and a minimum of 5 years' experience with a focus on large territories and/or account management.
    • Relevant experience - specifically in the industrial scope – Traffic Control, Utility (Electric/Power/Gas) and/or Railroad preferred.
    • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
    • Basic computer skills and experience with CRM software and the Microsoft Office Suite
    • In-depth understanding of company key customers and their market drivers plus an eagerness to expand the company with new sales, customers, partners and territories
    • Effectively analyze data and sales statistics and translate results into better solutions
    • Strong negotiation skills with ability follow-through on customer contracts
    • Proven results of delivering customer solutions and meeting sales goals
