    Position Overview
    At the direction of the CEO and Program Directors, the FCS Data Analyst is tasked with combining their understanding of the statements of work of FCS programs; telephonic, resource and record platforms used within the agency; and knowledge of data tools and systems, to produce valid, accurate and reliable grant and contract program reports as well as customized reports for agency administrators.
    The FCS Data Analyst is responsible for the collection and reporting of all agency reporting both internal and external and works collaboratively with Program Directors, agency administrators and community partners as needed. The FCS Data Analyst also provides first level technical support to FCS employees, especially as related to phone, computer, and software systems.
    This position will have a high attention to detail, a high level of integrity, and ensure consistency in reports and reporting methods.
    Essential Job Functions
    • Extract, clean, and merge data from multiple systems, to generate reports and actionable insights to ensure agency compliance, improve quality, and satisfy program reporting requirements.
    • Actively explore projects and initiatives to enhance operational outcomes by leveraging or developing data analytics systems.
    • Review data being captured against Statement of Work to ensure data compliance.
    • Review data for accuracy and identify error sources.
    • Prepare analyses and visualizations for audits, presentations, etc.
    • Work with agency administration to develop a schedule of internal program reports to provide an overview of various quality and workflow factors, including but not limited to call volume, customer service, program responsiveness, caller demographics/needs/solutions, call trends, staffing needs, etc.
    • Generate statistical analyses for agency stakeholders and community partners as directed by CEO, CFO, or Program Directors.
    • Develop and maintain data collection systems and data analytics tools.
    • Reviews call reports annually to ensure data is collected appropriately and in accordance with grant and program requirements.
    • Works with agency administration to analyze personnel data including for the purpose of increasing job satisfaction and employee retention.
    • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
    • Identify trends or patterns in complex data sets.
    • Collaborates with stakeholders, program directors and others to satisfy reporting when new data or reporting needs are identified.
    • Performs data requests in a timely manner.
    Non-Essential Job Functions
    • Maintain equipment list.
    • Assisting staff with data entry methods.
    • Identifying hardware and software solutions.
    • Creates and maintains data dictionary for program.
    • Work with administration to locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
    • Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the agency and the department by completing all duties as assigned.
    Requirements
    • Proven working experience extracting, cleaning, and aggregating data for the purpose of generating reports and/or visualizations.
    • Proven knowledge of programming concepts.
    • Proficiency in one or more high-level programming languages (Python, R, etc.) with data analysis libraries, modules, or packages.
    • Knowledge of data visualization tools and concepts.
    • Demonstrable expertise in SQL, with an understanding of relational and/or nonrelational database management systems
    • Knowledge of data extraction processes and concepts including APIs and database connections.
    • Proven ability to collect, organize, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Proficient with MS Excel, including pivot tables and advanced functions, such as lookup functions.
    • BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics required.
    • Ability to work with co-workers, callers and administrators in a respectful and cooperative manner regardless of differences in values or opinions.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
    • Ability to navigate comfortably through multiple technology platforms.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Power Point, Adobe Acrobat or comparable programs
