The ERM Associate will play a critical role in supporting the integration of enterprise risk management activities throughout the organization, including accurate risk reporting to stakeholders such as Business Unit Presidents, Management and Board Risk Committees, regulators, etc. The ERM department focuses on the continual maturation of the ERM framework by executing risk-based initiatives across the organization, supporting risk-intelligent decision-making.
This position can be located in Indianapolis, Indiana or Cincinnati, Ohio.
Key Accountabilities:
- Support effective risk reporting duties to risk committees and other stakeholders (i.e., ensuring risk reports are complete, accurate, and adhere to Core Specialty templates)
- Collaborate with business units to assist with the review and revision of risk policies, guidelines, charters, executive summaries, and other similar documentation
- Assist with updating and enhancing existing ERM processes, templates, and documentation (e.g., risk reports, training manual, managing project timelines, etc.)
- Serve as a key contact for risk owners
- Complete other ERM activities as directed by management
Deliverables:
- Risk reports that are complete, accurate, and adhere to Core Specialty templates
- Risk policies, guidelines, charters, executive summaries, and other similar documentation
- Up-to-date ERM templates and process documentation (e.g., risk reports, training manual, etc.)
Technical Knowledge and Understanding:
- A Bachelor's or Master’s degree preferably in Insurance Risk Management, Finance or a related field, required
- Prior exposure to or knowledge of basic insurance concepts is preferred but not required
- Desire and willingness for continual learning and the ability to apply new information and knowledge
- Computer skills – excellent working knowledge of MS Office (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Accuracy and attention to detail are critical
- Ability to review processes and determine opportunities for improvement
- Ability to simplify, analyze, and explain complex concepts
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship
Experience:
- A Bachelor's or Master’s degree preferably in Insurance Risk Management, Finance or a related field, required

This position is part of our Core Specialty Leaders in Training, leadership development program. This is an exciting, full-time rotational program for graduating university seniors and early career professionals.
