Additionally, Training and Clinical Education Director typically requires a master's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Training and Clinical Education Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget.     American Professional Educational Services, part of the Hartford HealthCare EMS Network, is a private occupational school providing a myriad of allied health educational courses including EMT, Paramedic, Phlebotomy, and Medical Assistant as well as an American Heart Association Training Center.

    Job Summary:

    The instructor will teach Phlebotomy coursework in both classroom and laboratory environments. Instructor must have the ability to demonstrate hands on phlebotomy techniques and skills to students per the standards of the CT Office of Higher Education.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Certified Phlebotomy Technician
    • American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Certified/licensed Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT)
    • 5 years of phlebotomy experience
    • 2 years of laboratory experience
    • Associate degree in Education, or another related field
    • Prior teaching experience, especially for a Phlebotomy program
