Training Assistant jobs in Oregon
Training Assistant is responsible for clerical and administrative duties related to the delivery of training and organizational development programs. Schedules training events, coordinates with instructors, obtains and distributes required instructional materials, and communicates schedules and details. Being a Training Assistant processes enrollments and answers routine inquiries regarding courses, schedules, and locations. Uses an information system or database to enter data and produce reports on training statistics, inventory levels or assessments of the programs and instructors. Additionally, Training Assistant coordinates additional services including technical equipment, meals and refreshments, housekeeping, maintenance or repairs. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Training Assistant possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. May require 0-1 year of general work experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

Job responsibilities: Instructors are responsible for the academic and career technical trade instruction per approved curricula. They will provide training and basic guidance and direction to help students achieve their academic and trade goals.
Essential functions:
- Provide students with direction, instruction, and assistance specific to the medical field.
- Motivate and counsel students in areas of behavior, training, personal problems, or study habits.
- Coordinate with counselors and staff as necessary to resolve issues affecting student training and/ or instruction.
- Develop and prepare lessons in accordance with approved curriculum guidelines, recommend curricula changes and supplemental materials.
- Maintain organized, clean, and safe training environment.
- Participate in student assessment panels, perform required documentation and evaluation using CIS (Center Information System) and other documentation systems.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Certified, licensed, or accredited in the state of employment by a professional trade organization. Specific requirements as required in designated vocational training.
- Current medical assistant certification and the ability and desire to teach, motivate and inspire students.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, computer proficiency, the ability and desire to motivate and inspire students.
- Teaching or training experience desirable.
- A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
