Training Assistant is responsible for clerical and administrative duties related to the delivery of training and organizational development programs. Schedules training events, coordinates with instructors, obtains and distributes required instructional materials, and communicates schedules and details. Being a Training Assistant processes enrollments and answers routine inquiries regarding courses, schedules, and locations. Uses an information system or database to enter data and produce reports on training statistics, inventory levels or assessments of the programs and instructors. Additionally, Training Assistant coordinates additional services including technical equipment, meals and refreshments, housekeeping, maintenance or repairs. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Training Assistant possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is seeking a motivated individual who is interested in learning to become a Dental Assistant, for a thriving practice at 19 Broadway in Newport, RI. The individual will have the opportunity to obtain paid, on-the-job training to become a Dental Assistant during the first six months of hire. Become part of our dental team and provide excellent and comprehensive care with a focus on quality, service and patient satisfaction.
The successful candidate will work with several dentists and dental hygienists to learn chair-side skills, infection control and laboratory protocols, and basic principles of taking x-rays. Upon completion of the six-month in-house training, EBCAP will pay for the required classroom education to achieve additional x-ray certification skills.
The position requires a minimum of a High School Diploma/equivalent. This position is Monday through Friday, however, will work one evening. Bilingual (Spanish), is preferred, however, not required.
