Training Director directs the design, planning, and implementation of corporate training programs aligned with the objectives and strategy of the company. Collaborates with functional management teams to assess ongoing and future training and development needs as well as effectiveness of established programs. Being a Training Director develops a program delivery schedule that provides training as needed and in locations that work for the participants. Provides engaging communications about program information to encourage participation and highlight the value and benefits of training. Additionally, Training Director approves new training techniques and suggests enhancements to existing training programs. Oversees and establishes relationships with vendors to provide additional outside training programs. Manages and develops training professionals. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Training Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Job Description: This position will work primarily in the boarding department, ensuring all dogs are properly taken care, as well as working hands-on with the dogs to further their progress. Some of these dog training activities including basic puppy manners, housebreaking, leash training, behavior modification, and any other training requirements. Applicant must be willing to train and work with all types of breeds and temperaments , including severe aggression. This training will take place following the Sit Means Sit patented training procedures. This position has advancement opportunities, based on individual performance, improvement, and position availability.
Initial pay is $15/hour regardless of experience as Sit Means Sit is a Franchise with patented training procedures. However, with each promotion pay increases with commission/ duration of employment.
Because of constant interaction with customers, excellent written and verbal communication skills are a necessity. Also, keepers must have excellent customer service skills, as excellent customer service is one of Sit Means Sit SWFL primary goals, especially to be considered for advancement.
Training will primarily take place at our training facility located at 28290 Old 41 Rd Suite 1, Bonita Springs FL, with opportunities to work dogs in out-of-facility trips once approved.
