Training Director directs the design, planning, and implementation of corporate training programs aligned with the objectives and strategy of the company. Collaborates with functional management teams to assess ongoing and future training and development needs as well as effectiveness of established programs. Being a Training Director develops a program delivery schedule that provides training as needed and in locations that work for the participants. Provides engaging communications about program information to encourage participation and highlight the value and benefits of training. Additionally, Training Director approves new training techniques and suggests enhancements to existing training programs. Oversees and establishes relationships with vendors to provide additional outside training programs. Manages and develops training professionals. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Training Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Training Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Take your nurse leadership career to the next level as a Director of Nursing in Training at Genesis, where you will receive an intensive orientation and training experience. The program is up to twelve (12) months and consists of management training utilizing clinical, human resource, financial, and leadership modules. The ability to direct, plan, coordinate and evaluate the quality of nursing services provided to patients/residents will be an outcome of the program. In addition, you will develop skills to interpret policy and regulations.
    Position Highlights *Develop a knowledge base of Genesis policies and protocols which impact patient/resident outcomes. *Evaluate patient/resident care outcomes by working with the interdisciplinary team. *Engage in the budgetary process, payroll analysis, reimbursement issues, and staffing ratios to become educated on the budgetary process *Obtain a knowledge base of state and federal regulatory process, quality indicators, quality measures, certification agencies, i.e. JCAHO *Develop a knowledge of the relationship of the MDS to Medicare, Medicaid, PPS, and RUGS. *Learn the characteristics of each payer source, and the implications of each on the care delivery process *Establish and facilitate employee relations by working through employee challenges and by participating in nursing center retention team and related programs *Educate various levels of staff to provide care and services which meet or exceed patient/resident expectations.
