Training Program Manager jobs in Weirton, WV

Major Functions: Coordinate Employment Advancement and Retention Network (EARN) client assessment and enrollment into training activities and services. Perform case management for customers through participation and follow up period. Must be familiar with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Interview customers, assist with career exploration. Prepare (jointly with customers) a written Employment Development and Retention Plan (EDRP) based on assessment of academic levels and occupational skill levels. Coordinate client’s participation/enrollment into activities appropriate to AMR. Maintain an accurate up to date record of activities and development throughout participation and follow up period. Monitor the customer’s training and employment programs and assist in resolving problems that may occur. Document customer activities by entering case notes in computer database and/or written file records. May conduct workshops such as, but not limited to Employer Expectations, National Retail Federation Certification, etc. Maintain knowledge of other human service agencies to make referrals that will aid in the accomplishment of customer goals (example: Childcare Choices, BCTA, as well as CareerLink partners, etc.) while participating in JTBC programs or in lieu of JTBC program. Must be up to date with program rules and regulations and changes as they occur. Maintain records for reporting purposes and provide accurate monthly reports to the Executive Director.

Experience Necessary: Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent related experience.

Additional Information: May work on other projects as necessary and appropriate for position as assigned by management. Willing to travel to conferences and workshops as may be required. Must have reliable car and valid driver’s license.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
