Job responsibilities: The CTR Specialist is responsible for providing career transition readiness placement and follow-up services to graduates.

Essential functions:

• Work cooperatively with instructors, counselors, placement staff and employers
• Assist separating students with completing job applications, resumes and cover letters
• Teach classes on job search, interviewing, budgeting and on-the-job success.
• Case management including assessing students’ needs, writing case notes, entering data, arranging transportation for students’ interviews.
• Develop relationships with apprenticeships and employers to enhance student employment opportunities. Arrange field trips for classes to tour businesses and job fairs.
• Model employability skills and hold students accountable to follow behavior standards

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED with four years’ experience working with youth and 1 year experience in sales, marketing, or counseling related services required. Post-secondary degree preferred.
• Experience may include successful Job Corps outreach and admissions experience or successful outreach and admissions experience with other youth programs.
A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
