The Training Specialist is responsible for educating and instructing new and existing Nurses, to ensure consistency and maintain compliance with all governing rules and regulations. The Training Specialist will work closely with the VP of NTP Compliance and VP of Nursing, to develop and implement a distinct approach to all compliance-related procedures and associated documentation. The Training Specialist is proficient in all nursing services offered within BrightView, provides onsite training and education to peers, and leads by example in all nursing operations within the assigned BrightView location(s). This position requires strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to interact with a variety of team members, a willingness and flexibility to travel often, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Provides initial and ongoing education designed to maintain compliance and establish best practices through lectures, groups, and visual aids. Executes comprehensive training plans designed to maintain skills specific to the BrightView standard of care through hands-on demonstration and continued mentorship. Training areas include, but are not limited to:
Opiate/Narcotic Treatment Program
Inductions/Withdrawal Management/OBOT
Individualized Nursing visits/Groups
Medication Compliance Reviews (pill counts)
Offsite Nursing Induction Follow-up Telephone calls
Narcan/Hepatitis/STD/Medication Education
Medication inventories and daily reconciliation
Execution of Corrective Action Plans
State and Federal Surveys
Required Education/Degree: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with Ohio Medication Administration certificate. Other Equivalent degrees
Required Certification/License: State Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN)
Required Work Experience: A minimum of two years nursing experience is preferred, ideally with BrightView Health.
