South Shore Early Education and Care a program of the South Shore Community Action Council - a private non-profit providing multi-level program support on the South Shore, Cape and Islands and Wareham. South Shore Early Education and Care in Plymouth seeks an Interpreter- Portuguese, 15 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, no benefits apply.

Core Duties-

Providing onsite language translation from English to Portuguese vice versa; including forms, case files, signage, flyers, brochures, and transportation announcements, menus, agency brochures and documents, any required program documentation. Providing onsite in person translation for clientele enrollment. Providing in person translation for application process and intake process with clientele. Assist clientele in matching appropriate documentation. Provide classroom support for student teacher interactions.

Core Qualifications

High School diploma or GED, current physical, and TB test prior to beginning employment, Statement of no record – CORI, Language skills – written & oral fluent in Haitian Creole, must speak and understand English.

Minimum Requirements at employment:

· All candidates must undergo a background check where applicable;
prior to beginning employment.
