Transportation Engineer jobs in Fresno, CA

Dewberry is currently seeking a Transportation/Roadway Engineer in our growing Fresno, CA office.

Our Fresno office follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely a few days a week.

The successful candidate will work on all phases of Transportation Projects for a variety of public sector clients. Transportation projects will include horizontal and vertical road alignments, drainage systems, storm water management, utility relocations and preparation of contract documents.

The successful candidate must be flexible, technologically savvy, and client focused. The work required by the successful candidate is diverse and requires strong capabilities in Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.

BS degree in Civil Engineering.
• CA PE license preferred.
• 5 years of experience in transportation engineering.
• Proficient with Civil 3D.
• Ability to work in a timely fashion to meet project budgets.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, sub consultants, and county/agency review staff.
• Ability to compose technical reports, memorandums, and other written communication.
• Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.

Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check.

The projected range for this position is $100,000-$140,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
