JOB DESCRIPTION: This position works under the general guidance and supervision of the PPPO Operations Supervisor and Travel Clerk III Lead. The Travel Clerk I (TCI) performs work across all PPPO actions. Responsibilities encompass a full range of administrative tasks & technical duties that support transportation operations tied to Army Logistic Support Services.
The TCI provides customer service for military and civilian personnel in order to facilitate relocation of personal property and family members based on orders, transportation entitlements, joint travel regulations (JTR) and defense travel regulations (DTR). The TCI must be able to: acknowledge and greet customers upon entry to the facility, read and decipher military orders, answer questions or seek guidance from a TCII or TCIII in order to do so, efficiently and accurately schedule counseling appointments, verify data in required automated systems, maintain customer correspondence via email and phone, keep up on internal filing, This position must attend training on how to process shipments for: Unaccompanied Baggage (UB), Household Goods (HHG), Storage (Temporary, Non-Temporary, and Special), Local Moves, Personally Procured Moves, and Privately Owned Vehicles (POV) and learn how to research regulations to better assist the customer. This position will be required to perform housekeeping of work areas, will be expected to work overtime periodically when required. Work hours & work location may, with proper notification, be adjusted to include shift work to meet contract requirements.
The TCI will become familiar with JTR, DTR, and other Army regulations as well as contract requirements. This position will provide contract support to ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and security regulations. Work is typically performed in well-ventilated and lighted areas with some lifting and moving of materials. This position requires standing, walking, and sitting while working either indoors or outdoors. While performing the job, you may be required to lift/carry, pull/push, reach, squat, and kneel; you may be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.Paid relocation assistance is not available. Candidates must currently reside within commuting distance or clearly state a willingness to relocate his or herself.
