Treasury Analyst is responsible for supporting all aspects of daily treasury operations. Oversees cash reporting and forecasting, credit administration, lender compliance requirements, administration of business insurance programs, and debt facility modeling. Being a Treasury Analyst researches economic trends and investment opportunities. May assist senior staff with preparing materials and reports using standard methodologies and procedures. Additionally, Treasury Analyst determines procurement of funds, and monitors investments and collections. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Treasury Analyst work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. To be a Treasury Analyst typically requires 0-2 years of related experience.   • Assist in the preparation of various models and reports including, but not limited to, Asset/Liability Modeling, CECL Modeling, Income/Expense Analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. Input credit union data for various financial modeling. Review data inputs and model outputs for accuracy.

    • Prepare periodic reports for the use of management and the board of directors. Evaluate reports and provide recommendations.
    • Improves financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; and recommends actions to senior leadership.

    • Maintains database by entering, verifying, and backing up data. Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data.

    • Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses, studying proposed changes in methods and materials, and coordinating information requirements.

    • Collaborate and assist with various teams to achieve organizational goals.

    Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

    Knowledge and Skills

    Experience

    1 years of similar or related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. General understanding of interest rate risk and liquidity risk and approaches to quantifying and modeling these risks required. Experience with quantitative models used for risk management, including ALM and liquidity risk management preferred.

    Education/Certifications/Licenses

    Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) in Finance, Accounting, or Economics

    Other Skills

    Knowledge of accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America, basic characteristics of financial assets and liabilities, and basic statistical analysis. Ability to work standard personal computers (including peripheral equipment), ten-key calculator, typing 30-40 words per minute, view a computer terminal for varying periods of time, and to learn and retain the proper use of office equipment, including facsimile machines and photocopies.

    Must be able to work with various PC software. Strong ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports and legal documents; performs complex calculations; effectively researches, analyzes and evaluates information to make decisions, solve problems and achieve goals; strong project management skills desired.

    Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel to perform data analysis and visualization. Ability to create pivot tables and charts, filter and sort data, use lookup functions, and create formulas required.

    Physical Requirements

    Is able to bend, sit, and stand in order to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

    Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.

    Working Conditions

    Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled private office with minimal noise

    Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to complete basic mathematical calculations, spell accurately, and understand computer basics. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence.

    Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
