About The Role
This is a great opportunity to work within a luxury winemaking team for the 2023 harvest. The facility is a state-of-the-art luxury hub that houses several mature and up and coming brands. Be a part of a highly sought-after legacy winery that is at the forefront of the industry!
The purpose of the Winemaking Information Department is to accurately record and maintain all movements and additives to juice and wine within Beringer and St. Clement from grape to bottle. The department is also responsible for the accurate tracking and reporting of all bottled blends at Beringer per the TTB and Federal anti-Terrorist Act requirements. Creation of work orders and instructions.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately input information into the Blend/JDE system (bulk Wine Tracking system) by deciphering various forms of completed documents (tank, barrel and bottling work orders, weigh tags, Bills of Lading, harvest analysis, etc.).
Read, understand, evaluate and make calculations on information received.
Investigate and resolve any work order discrepancies.
Set up tastings, fermenter and otherwise.
Opportunities to taste fermenters with the winemaking team.
Special projects as needed.
Maintain filing and archival system for reference and research for the Wine Info, Winemaking and Operations staff.
Communicate with cellar; research and correct worker order discrepancies, etc.
Work with production to reconcile the month-end physical inventories to system inventories, investigating and correcting any discrepancies. Inventories may include bulk wine, barrels, dry goods, etc.
Enter harvest activities related to additions to juice and wine, potentially for multiple sites
Overtime is required – 6 days a week including weekends
About You
You have a BS in a science field or equivalent harvest experience
You have excellent communication skills
You are Computer literate
You have basic math associated with converting units and making calculations
You are analytical, interpersonal and have strong organizational skills
You are a self-motivated, innovative and resourceful problem-solver
You have demonstrated ability to be self-directed and effectively organize and manage multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail
You are positive and enjoying creating and working in an atmosphere that is highly collaborative
You have knowledge of the following software programs and can operate them with speed and accuracy: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, JD Edwards, Blend
Must have a broad understanding of the winemaking process
Must be capable of working within constraints of deadlines
You are able to work a flexible schedule and some weekends
You can lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Pay Transparency Disclosure: The base pay range offered for this position is $17.75 to $23 per hour. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and alignment with market data. Our expectation is that the incumbent will work out of the Interior of CA, specifically the Lodi area. If the incumbent works out of another location, the wage rate may fall above or below this range. Treasury reserves the right to modify the range in the future.
