Truck Driver - Heavy operates a large or heavy truck that transports cargo to and from specified locations on time and according to schedule. Operates vehicle safely and responsibly, adhering to all DOT and company safety regulations. Being a Truck Driver - Heavy conducts routine inspections prior to departure to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition. Manages appropriate cargo documentation and provides necessary paperwork upon the delivery of goods. Additionally, Truck Driver - Heavy coordinates the loading and unloading of the truck, verifying cargo and ensuring items are properly stored and secured. Maintains contact with dispatcher to provide status updates, clarify special instructions, and notify about delays or issues during transport. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Commercial Driver License (CDL) - Class A. May require a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC). Typically reports to a supervisor. The Truck Driver - Heavy works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. - Reefer
- Automatic
- Must have somewhere to safely park tractor and trailer on hometime
- No Touch Freight
- 40% Drop and Hook
- Out 12-14 Days, Home for 2 days
- $.60cpm and $.11cpm per diem-Not Optional
- Average $1500-$2000 per week
- Average 2500-3000 miles weekly
- Detention and Layover/Breakdown Pay
- Average $78k - $104k annually
- 24 hour dispatch
- Freightliners
- 12 months verifiable recent OTR tractor-trailer experience in the past 3 years
- No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
- No Preventable DOT accidents in the past 3 years
- No more than 6 jobs in the past 3 years
- No reckless, caress or 15 over the speed limit tickets in past 3 years
- No Safety Terminations from last job; All others will be reviewed
- DUI must be outside of 10 years
- Urine drug screen required
- No failed drug test ever
CDL Class A Driver / Truck Driver Benefits:
