Truck Driver Supervisor supervises the dispatching of trucks to convey freight to assigned destinations in a timely and efficient manner. Tracks deliveries via computer systems and monitors communication lines to assist with complex or immediate questions. Being a Truck Driver Supervisor reviews driver assignments, delivery time, and other transportation data to evaluate driver performance. Ensures dispatchers and drivers are educated and compliant with all DOT, state, local, and company regulations. Additionally, Truck Driver Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. Rapid City, South DakotaDriver Supervisor: Supervises the delivery department to ensure efficiency and accuracy of the delivery department. Successfully supervises the delivery department to increase performance standards. This position will require excellent leadership skills, ability to resolve conflict, and critical thinking skills to provide operational solutions to problems. This position will require a Class A CDL, and must meet all company driver qualifications. The work environment is usually loud and the employee will be exposed to outside weather environment. Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds unassisted.
