Manages appropriate cargo documentation and provides necessary paperwork upon the delivery of goods. Additionally, Truck Driver - Tractor Trailer coordinates the loading and unloading of the truck, verifying cargo and ensuring items are properly stored and secured. Maintains contact with dispatcher to provide status updates, clarify special instructions, and notify about delays or issues during transport. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Commercial Driver License (CDL) - Class A. May require a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC). Typically reports to a supervisor. Minimum Qualifications: | |||
1.Must have current Class A CDL and current medical card. 2.Must have an acceptable driving record. 3.Must have minimum of two years experience driving truck. 4.Must adhere to all safety requirements, procedures and company policies. 5.Must have the physical fitness strength to lift 70 pounds and stamina to work on feet for prolonged periods and agility for repetitive work. 6.Must be dependable and hardworking with a positive team attitude. 7.Must be able to work overtime and some Saturdays. 8.Ability to go on occasional overnight trips. |
