Truck Driver - Tractor Trailer operates a large or heavy truck that transports cargo to and from specified locations on time and according to schedule. Operates vehicle safely and responsibly, adhering to all DOT and company safety regulations. Being a Truck Driver - Tractor Trailer conducts routine inspections prior to departure to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition. Manages appropriate cargo documentation and provides necessary paperwork upon the delivery of goods. Additionally, Truck Driver - Tractor Trailer coordinates the loading and unloading of the truck, verifying cargo and ensuring items are properly stored and secured. Maintains contact with dispatcher to provide status updates, clarify special instructions, and notify about delays or issues during transport. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Commercial Driver License (CDL) - Class A. May require a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC). Typically reports to a supervisor. The Truck Driver - Tractor Trailer independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. Do you have a Class A CDL and an impeccable safety record? We are immediately hiring Class A CDL FedEx Ground Drivers with experience hauling double trailers for Team runs! We are looking for dedicated and professional Team truck drivers to handle FedEx Ground undedicated teams runs from the Oceanside, CA terminal safely and efficiently!
Our Team Driver Pay & Benefits include:
- Make up to 90 CPM to the truck!- (5500 miles= $2475 per driver per week)
- Sign-on bonus for qualified drivers!
- Health Insurance!
- 5 days of PTO per year!
Position Details:
- Dispatch from Oceanside, CA terminal
- Tuesday-Saturday - 5 days out / 2 days home
- Team driving
- Home weekly!
- 2017 Freightliner Cascadia Sleeper- Well-maintained and ready to roll!
Ideal skills and Experience:
- 2 years of experience tractor trailer driving experience preferred.
- Doubles driving experience required.
- Must have sufficient technical skills for ELD and apps.
Responsibilities:
- Pre-trip and Post-trip Inspections
- Check in on the Linehaul app upon arrival to the terminal.
- Observe safety and never obstruct interior or exterior cameras.
- Communicate with dispatcher and team leads.
- Observe hours of service and maintain on-time deliveries.
- Hook up and break down doubles using available dollies.
- Keep a clean truck and a professional appearance.
CDL Driver Requirements:
- 2 years of experience tractor trailer driving experience preferred.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record- No accidents or tickets in the past 3 years.
- Applicants must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must hold a valid Medical Card.
- CDL-A with double endorsement
- Background check required.
