Being a Truck Service Technician, Sr. must be competent in fuel systems, engine groups, and failure analysis. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Truck Service Technician, Sr. typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Truck Service Technician, Sr. typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. You will be working with a variety of compressors, welders, and cranes which will require proficiency in hydraulics, electrical components, and combustion engines. Completing job tasks on time, maintaining a clean and organized work space, reducing the need for rework, and increasing customer satisfaction will be key to being successful in this position.
Summary ObjectiveThis position performs diagnostics, welding, fabrication, electrical, hydraulics, and general repair.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.- Perform diagnostics on electrical and hydraulic systems
- Perform general repairs
- Fabrication including some design, layout, cutting, and forming
- Weld according to specifications; 10 gauge to 1” steel
- Properly install, repair, and maintain all electrical components
- Install, maintain, and repair hydraulic systems
- Perform quality control checks on all completed jobs
- Must have own tools (A list will be provided)

Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no direct supervisory responsibility.Work EnvironmentThis position works in a climate-controlled shop setting. Proper PPE must be worn at all times.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or type; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and sit for long periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a half hour lunch, but hours could change based on need.TravelNo travel is expected for this position.Preferred Education and Experience- 1 years’ experience as a service technician
