Job Description:

Under general supervision of the Deputy Director of Airfield Operations, an employee in this position monitors airfield, airport facilities, and personnel to ensure compliance with FAA, TSA, and Airport Authority regulations and leases; assists in developing and updating FAA required and other manuals and plans; assists in research for and preparation of bid specifications; provides escorts; coordinates with construction contractors; conducts safety-self inspections; performs snow removal and related duties; issues NOTAMs; serves as representative of Department in absence of senior operations personnel; works rotating shifts including weekends and holidays; subject to recall and round-the-clock operations, when required.  Performs other duties as directed.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Monitors both airside and landside airport operations to ensure the Authority’s and tenants’ compliance with FARs 77, 139, CFR’s 1520, 1540, 1542, and the safety of all users of the airport.
• Assists in developing and updating FAA required and other manuals and plans;
• Assists in research for and preparation of bid specifications;
• Provides escorts;
• Coordinates with construction contractors;
• Conducts safety-self inspections;
• Performs snow removal and related duties;
• Issues NOTAMs;
• Serves as representative of Department in absence of senior operations personnel;
• Performs necessary duties contributing to a clean, safe environment, ensuring compliance with Authority and applicable government regulations.
• Monitors/participates in snow removal operations during assigned shift.
• Performs necessary administrative duties contributing to the efficiency of Authority’s operations.
• Consistently exhibits satisfactory levels of performance and behavior;
• Ensures work area and tasks are completed in an organized and timely manner.
• Complies with established safety and security policies/procedures and performs all duties in a safe manner according to Authority, Federal, and State regulations.
• Performs other duties as required.
• Monitors terminal and assists customers as needed.
• Monitors wildlife on AOA in compliance with the WHMP.
• Conducts training and presentations to groups ranging from small to large.

Standard Work Hours:  Rotating Shifts, Monday – Sunday
